For the first time, the "Hong Kong version of Durandot" jointly created by the mainland and Hong Kong main creative team will be staged at the Grand Theatre of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre from October 10 to 13.

The opera performance was directed by Mr. Warren Mok, Artistic director and producer of Opera Hong Kong, and Mr. Jia Ding, national Level One scriptwriter and chief planner of the Spring Festival Gala.

In order to create a new Chinese style immersive stage, the opera "Durandot" on the scene lighting requirements are very high, the need to accurately restore the color beauty, the color is full and rich, to ensure that the audience enjoy the "eye and ear synchronous immersion" opera.

The famous opera "Durandot" is an Italian opera with Chinese themes, and it is also Puccini's last work. The play tells the story of the Chinese princess Durandot with riddles to find her relatives, among which Calafu sang the famous song "No Sleep Tonight" to move people's hearts, became a popular song, over the years the play has been playing in the world.

In this magnificent journey composed by Puccini, Chinese and foreign actors performed skillfully, classical singing moved the heart, and the stage design created an immersive experience space, which once again witnessed the artistic charm of opera and the beauty of the integration of Chinese and foreign cultures.
